Women in Transition

A God Sighting

This week we received a check care of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. The $15 donation was marked “tithe” and came from one of the participants in our Women in Transition course. $15 represents a HUGE portion of what this woman earns while she’s incarcerated. It may not be the largest dollar amount we’ve ever received, but it was one of the biggest blessings.picture-01

As we’ve mentioned on this blog before, working in ministry can be hard. There are days that feel like setback after setback. So it was such a blessing for our staff and volunteers to receive this recognition of God’s work in the life of someone we are serving! Rhonda Bear, Kathy Peacock, and Vanessa Crouch facilitate our Women in Transition courses. After serving their time in prison, they each choose to go back inside the gates to serve these women. We are all grateful for confirmations (like this check) that this work they do is truly making an impact and changing Oklahoma. May God continue to use these women to make himself known!
