Women in Transition + Kristen
Kristen and her Stand in the Gap small group prayed for miracles. Watch to celebrate answered prayers.
Hi guys. I’m Kristen.
I’m going to bring you along for a day in the life of a woman in transition.
I work at She Brews as a store manager. So in the morning I get myself and my son ready. We head up to She Brews.
I do all the opening tasks, and we pray over the store, and then I take my son to school. When I get back to the store I’m typically in front working as a barista.
I like to reach out to my mentors during the day and just update them on how things are going, how I’m doing, and what’s going on in life.
I’ve been with them for a year now and I’m about to graduate the program. For my graduation, we’re going to go celebrate at Olive Garden.
Throughout my time in the program, my mentors have prayed for so many of my goals in life, for guidance in my future in pursuing a law degree. And they’ve been there to see God work miracles. Like getting my son back, that’s the best miracle.
Got my dad into a nursing home. He’s safe and taken care of.
My son, Blaze, giving his life to Jesus, that was amazing.
Starting work at She Brews and working my way up to manager, I’ve never had a position like that and I really feel blessed.
Throughout my time with the Women in Transition program, I’ve learned a lot and I have such a great support system. They are such a blessing in my life. I’ve never had that before. They’ve gave me goals to help other women that are in prison to have some hope for the future for their children, just be successful in life.
I couldn’t be where I’m at today without the support of the Stand in the Gap family.
Thanks for coming along with me for a day in the life of a woman in transition. God bless.
