January’s 5 Hope Highlights

By January 25, 2021June 24th, 2022No Comments

In an increasingly unstable world,

hope is still the most important thing.

This month, we are sharing some of our “hope highlights” from the last 4 weeks.
May these short stories bring you hope.

Welcome Back (Almost)

After nearly 11 months on lockdown, Eddie Warrior begun to re-orient volunteers this month. When Rhonda showed up at the prison, the ladies had made her this banner! Rhonda will determine how to teach the class while following COVID regulations (all 7 housing units must be kept separate). Kathy is beginning similar steps in the Oklahoma City area. Prayers for the health and safety of our team and the ladies and staff inside!

Road Trip

We caught up with the widows ministry at one of our partner churches. The ladies of First Church of the Nazarene, Bethany, recently took a short road trip to Oklahoma City. The group masked up for a trip to the Quail Springs Mall and to Blue Zoo Aquarium. The trip provided some much needed social time for all involved!

Planning Ahead

This month, our program teams got together to report on 2020 and to cast visions for 2021. In spite of all last year brought, we had a lot to celebrate. The time away from "normal" gave us space to tend to our foundation. We are looking to 2021 with hope!

Twelve Years of Francois!

This month, we celebrated Francois' twelfth anniversary with Stand in the Gap. As Executive Director, he has been responsible for the growth and flourishing of Stand in the Gap ministries. His commitment to fiscal management smoothly navigated Stand in the Gap through the trials of 2020. We are grateful to be on his team!
