Stand in the Gap for Widows

The secret to widow’s ministry is…

Letting you in on our little secret...

They are leaving.

75% of widows say their church has no organized widow program providing intentional care. And 50% of widows leave their church after the passing of their spouses.

We have a solution.

Stand in the Gap started the "No Widow Alone" movement to empower churches to respond to the biblical call to "defend the widow."

You can join us.

Churches across the United States (and the world) have partnered with us to bring widows back to life in their communities. We all know a widow. Is this how you can help her?

This summer, our partners at South Tulsa Baptist Church hosted the widows in their church and community. Their leadership team planned a special dinner and short program, but you know what we couldn’t stop thinking about?

How simple, and fun, and good it was for widows to be in the room with other widows, sharing stories, sharing dinner, and sharing a new beginning.

Our staff  says it all the time, “This is the club no one wanted to join.” But how important it is to find a “club” in this time of grief and to process your major life change with people who understand.

Have you noticed the widows in your church? Are you ready to make a real impact in their lives? We have the tools and experience you need.

All you have to do is start.
