Hope is...Stand in the Gap

August’s 8 Hope Highlights

By September 2, 2022No Comments

In an increasingly unstable world,

hope is still the most important thing.

This month, we are sharing some of our “hope highlights” from the last 4 weeks.
May these short stories bring you hope.

Better Together

Life Launch Program Manager Kat attended a monthly meeting with the Care Portal leaders and others working together in the community.

This mighty group discussed specific needs that need to be met, how to support each other, and shared resources with one another.

"It is a great meeting and is always so fruitful!" Kat says. "Care Portal and this group have been amazing at helping Life Launch find mentors and referring new mentees to our program."

We are grateful for our partners like Care Portal - we couldn't serve young adults aging out of foster care in Oklahoma without the support of others.

6-Months with WIT

Bobbie walked out of prison 6 months ago to a housing program in Pryor, OK.
This past week, we celebrated her completion of Stand in the Gap’s Women in Transition program.
She has been able to hold down a job, get paid time off so that she could do a surprise visit with family, get her own place and keep a relationship with her amazing Stand in the Gap family.
We just attended a women’s conference called Daughters of the King in Pryor, OK. This picture is a display of the fun we had celebrating women and their walk with Christ.
We love you, Bobbie! We are so grateful to see all you’ve done with God’s help over the past 6 months.

Our Hereos

These are the real heroes right here - Dagny, Howard and Debra, thank you for being repeat volunteers with our Women in Transition program.

Serving formerly incarcerated women in Oklahoma would not be possible without volunteers like you. We appreciate your investment in peoples lives!

LL Grad Chloe

We celebrated Chloe’s Life Launch graduation this month!
She is so happy saying she’s had the best times with her mentors. Her favorite memories over the past year were going to Top Golf and to the Lake with her Stand in the Gap small group.
Her mentors are so proud of how much she has grown over the past year.

WIT Grad KC

We celbrated KC this month on her Women in Transition graduation at Heathers Hope in Comanche, Oklahoma 🎉

We are so proud of you, KC, and are looking forward to seeing all God has for you next!
