God’s Love

On Valentine’s Day, many people spend time expressing love to others through handwritten cards, gifts, quality time, flowers, and chocolate. 

We want to remind our team and all of our Stand in the Gap family to also spend the day thinking of God’s love – 

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-19

God’s love for us is so deep that he sent His son Jesus to sacrifice his own life so we can be in a relationship with Him. Now, that is a love worth reflecting on today. A love that broke the barriers between people who are different from one another so we can live in community. 

The foundation of Stand in the Gap Ministries is to connect people in need with people who care in order to set the prisoners free and defend orphans and widows. We have seen the ways these relational connections are more important now than ever before. COVID isolation and losses over the last two years have had major consequences for the orphans, widows, and prisoners we serve.

We invite you to join our efforts by volunteering this year to share God’s love with those who need Godly relationships.
